Hey there, we’re PLUM music blog!
A group of sixth form friends that love music and gigs, we’ve created this blog to document everything we adore musically.
Charlie Hooper – 18
Hey I’m Charlie, I have been listening to music avidly since a very young age when my parents used to show me what they listened to. Their influences have stuck with me, and I mainly listen to indie-rock but dip in and out of other genres from time to time. I’ve been to Latitude Festival 5 times, and been to countless numbers of gigs.
Ellie Phillips – 18
Give me anything but psych-trance and I will usually lap it up. Total lover of Florence & the Machine, Foo Fighters, Foals and The Horrors. The amount of gig tickets on my walls makes my wallet cry a little bit.
Sass Holmes – 18
I’m Sass and I basically base my life around gigs. After a head first dive into good music a couple of years ago, and a Bombay Bicycle Club gig that changed my outlook on what music meant to me, I haven’t stopped thinking/talking/obsessing over bands for a single day. If I could be Ellie Rowsell I would. I’ll probably be writing around the indie genre a lot of the time, along with anything else that crops up.
Kira Radley – 18
I’m Kira, and music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I mainly listen to Hip Hop, reggae, R&B, house, grime and indie-rock. Some of my fave artists are Erykah Badu, Loyle Carner, Foals, Hollie Cook and Tame Impala. I’ll be writing reviews of gigs, books, albums and some other stuff about politics & feminism & shiz.
Mahalia Curtis-Lundberg – 17
Joshua Whitmore-Lyons – 18
Hi I’m Josh. I’m mostly gonna review punk and garage rock and occasionally some indie. Down with dumb rockism.
I’m currently working with Philip Parr on the ‘Norfolk Music Hub: Audit of gaps in music provision for 5-19 year olds’, which I know you’ve retweeted for us. Would one of you be happy to be interviewed by phone, as well, for this audit? If you can, please email me at catherine@parrabbola.co.uk so I can arrange a time to speak to you and send a outline of the sort of things I’d like to discuss with you.
Many thanks
Catherine
